Several times a day, I lay Joanie Leigh on the floor for Houston and I to talk to her. She just looks up at us as if she knows exactly what we are saying. The other day, I told Houston that one day Joanie Leigh will play with him. He smiled big. . .

Then he said: "Toanie play knight?"

Me:  "Yes buddy, Joanie will play 'Mike the Knight' with you."

Houston:  "Yes!"

Me:  "Buddy, If your 'Mike the Knight', who is Joanie going to be?"

Houston: "A princess."

. . . And my heart melted.


*For those who don't know, Houston calls 'Joanie'  --  'Toanie.'  And 'Mike the Knight' is a cartoon he loves to watch :)
